Pursuit of a "beautiful clubhead"
The crown of the T.388 had been given a matte finish to emphasize the contours and to eliminate reflective glare. The T.388's compact head allows players to maximize their concentration and inspires an image of a perfect trajectory.
Short, shallow COG location
The T.388 driver has been designed with a shallow center of gravity from the face as well as positioning it closer to the shaft line. This location enables golfers to better control the movement of the club head and gives a strong trajectory while minimizing back spin. By shortening the distance of the center of gravity from the shaft line, the head naturally turns inwards to assist in creating a more square impact. As a result, the smash factor is drastically improved, achieving a faster initial ball velocity.
Active Head Construction
S-Yard's unique "Active Head Construction" absorbs the dissipating forces caused by off-centered hits, reducing the club head's unnecessary movement at impact. This increased stability of the club head enables a more square impact to straighten the trajectory along the intended target line. The 15-3-3-3 titanium, which combines rigidity and flexibility, has been utilized in the entire sole, and increases control suited to the head speed at impact, and increases the average ball velocity by 4%.
Multi-integrated "Rib" face
The T.388 driver has a multi-integrated forged face which is designed like a rib spreading laterally from the center of the top portion of the face. This extends the effective hitting area of the face and improves the CT ratio of off-center area.
