As the most technical putter line Scotty Cameron has offered to date, the 2019 Phantom X family presents mallet players with a variety of new setups in a cohesive mix of five new head styles, shaft bends and alignment options with new, multi-material construction including solid aluminum faces anodized black, bold accent colors and 303 stainless steel.
Identical in shape to the Phantom X 5, the 5.5 has a shorter neck bend that provides subtle toe flow for players seeking stability while still creating an arc in the stroke. This neck style was inspired by Justin Thomas’ Tour prototype setup and combines some of the feel of a blade putter with the forgiveness benefits of a mallet.
Features and Benefits
- TRADITIONAL ALIGNMENT - A clear view of the entire topline at address enables the player to align the putter face perpendicular to the shoulders and square to the hole, while three milled sight dots mark the sweet spot, providing additional alignment cues.
- LOW-BEND SHAFT TECHNOLOGY - The stepless steel shaft has been designed with a single 'low' bend aimed directly down the target line to slightly enhance toe flow—or arc—in the putting stroke.
