The RMX 218 is aimed at the mid-to-high handicap player looking for maximum forgiveness and good distance. Although designed with the higher handicap in mind the club heads has remained surprisingly clean and compact looking, making it very pleasing to the eye.

- Active Sole - Rounding the perimeters in the heel and toe areas while expanding the bounce on the leading edge ensures less turf interaction. This creates crisper cleaner strikes more often.
- Straight Flight Design - Machine milling to create “pockets” in the heel ensures weight is shifted towards the toe. This improves trajectory consistency by up to 14% resulting in more consistency and a tighter dispersion.
- Full Circumference undercut - Also known as a 360 Degree undercut cavity. This technique fully suspends the face allowing it to flex, this will increase ball speeds and as a result improve distance. Yamaha indicates the RMX 218 is up to 1 club longer than the previous generation!
